Cosumnes River College Food Pantry Opens

A special ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday at the new Cosumnes River College Hawk Spot Food Pantry. CRC President Bush, Vice President of Student Services Kimberly McDaniels and CRC students, along with representatives from the Elk Grove Food Bank Services that included Board Member Betty Hall, Executive Director Marie Jachino, Case Manager Judy Sala, and Operations Manager Ken Franklin joined in the festivities.

The Hawk Spot Food Pantry is a partnership between the Elk Grove Food Bank Services and Cosumnes River College to support students with inadequate food resources. This project was developed by CRC student leaders in collaboration with CRC's Administration. It is staffed and operated by students.
